i%26#039;m not trying to mean, i%26#039;m just trying to be a nice friend


it%26#039;s summer so i would offer to buy her some nice cami;s and tanks from abercombie and she would be like %26quot; oh no, that%26#039;s okay%26quot;. all she does is dress in a t-shirt and jeans everyday


sometimes i just feel like throwing teen vogue in her faceand steer her towards some fabulous clothes. if she would only fix her hair and makeup and wardrobe she could be really pretty

Let her wear what she wants to wear. It%26#039;s not your body. You could maybe casually suggest some clothes once, but if she%26#039;s not interested, then drop it and don%26#039;t mention it again.

she has been a good friend to me for the past 15 years why would i throw that away over a dress!!!

Reply:Is she your friend because of the way she dresses or because of the person she is? It sounds like she is into being who she is and not how the fasion mags want her to be. If you really think she just needs to come out of her shell, try having a %26quot;trading%26quot; party. Get a group of friends together and ask them to bring some outfits they are tired of. Try on each other%26#039;s outfits and swap for the ones you want. She might find a new look that would still allow her to be true to who she is. The rest of you can update your wardrobes and get a %26quot;new%26quot; look without spending alot of cash. Throw in a few group %26quot;makeovers%26quot; and share tips on makeup and hair. You will all have a good time and your fashion impaired friend won%26#039;t feel singled-out.

So what you need to do is just ask her like, %26quot; hey, how about if i give you a makeover? i know it would be really fun!%26quot; and make sure she says yes! then, do her make up and everything and see if she likes it. but dont overdo her make up, just enough to see a LITTLE difference. then show her a style of a hairdo you think she%26#039;d look really good in and if she takes your advice she%26#039;d do it.


And when you%26#039;re at the mall with her or whatever, tell her you think she%26#039;d look really cute in a top or bottoms you really want her to get. take her to the dressing rooms and let her try on the clothes you%26#039;d like for her. and hopefully she%26#039;ll like them!


P.S. I also had a friend that dresses pretty bad and once me and my other friends gave her a makeover,, she really liked it. and now she dresses very nicely..

And if you really care about how she dresses then tell her that like hey you want to try something? And just take her to the mall and stuff and like try on some stuff and ask her if she like it. And if she does buy it. ANd if she doesn%26#039;t LET HER BE!
Reply:I have tons of friends like that. The truth is you can%26#039;t tell her. She will be hurt and probably stop being your friend...its not worth it... I%26#039;ve been there.





Maybe one night when guys are having a sleep over, do makeovers , they are really fun.


She will think it is no big deal and let you mess with her.


You can do her hair/makeup and pick out a cute outfit.





Then you can be like %26quot; See how great you look! You should do this more often! you look like a babe, girl !%26quot;





She is probaly insecrue..,if the makeover thing doesn%26#039;t work...you can not tell her. Just let her be.





Plus people will see you hanging out with her and thing you look extra cool because you look so good compared to her.


But thats mean...but just trying to make good out of the situtation.
